Startup fundraising in March revealed diverging trends across Asia’s biggest markets. India saw a resurgence as fundraising topped the $1 billion mark after a dip in the previous month. In contrast, Southeast Asian startup fundraising slumped 61% month-on-month to just $97.5 million. Greater China faced a sharp 71.4% year-on-year decline amid US tariffs. The common thread: investor sentiment remains volatile, shaped by macro forces and sectoral shifts.
