Indonesia-based payment fintech DOKU has rebranded to “DOKU by Antom”, as Ant International’s merchant payment and digitisation arm Antom deepens its strategic investment in the company, according to an announcement on Thursday.
The move comes as corporate filings shed more light on Ant International’s ownership position in DOKU. Ant International Technologies (Hong Kong) Holding Ltd owns 72.22% of PT Digital Mitra Karyamas, according to the latest corporate filings with Indonesia’s Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
Digital Mitra Karyamas, in turn, holds 99.54% of DOKU’s Indonesian legal entity, PT Nusa Satu Inti Artha, according to a separate filing dated Sept. 17. The remaining 0.46% shares are held by PT Indonesia Dua Integrasi.
Under the latest corporate structure, Digital Mitra Karyamas has 3.14 trillion rupiah of placed and paid-up capital. Ant International Technologies (Hong Kong) Holding owns 2.27 trillion rupiah, or 72.22%, while PT Bina Fintek Utama holds 17.01% and PT DSST Dana Gemilang owns 10.77%.
DSST is an investment holding subsidiary of conglomerate Sinar Mas Group’s PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA).
Digital Mitra Karyamas also lists Worachat Luxhanalode, CEO of 2C2P, as president director; Liu Zheng, Ant International’s CFO, as president commissioner; Zhou Yi, CFO of Ant International; and Felix Aliwarga, Director at Sinar Mas’s SMDV, both as commissioners.
The filing provides a clearer picture that Ant International’s Hong Kong holding company is the largest shareholder of DOKU’s immediate corporate parent, rather than a direct shareholder of DOKU itself.
In DOKU’s press release on Thursday, it said that it had been rebranded as “DOKU by Antom” to reflect closer synergy and a consistent go-to-market strategy between DOKU; Antom; and 2C2P, Antom’s Southeast Asian regional payment gateway subsidiary.
DOKU will continue to operate under its own name and licences, with Antom remaining a strategic investor.
The development follows a strategic partnership between DOKU and Ant International announced in February 2026 and comes after Apis Partners exited the company, DealStreetAsia reported in June.
Under the partnership, DOKU and Ant International plan to help Indonesian merchants expand overseas through Antom’s global payment network while giving international merchants access to DOKU’s local payment methods. The companies also outlined plans around multi-currency payments, cross-border processing, lending, and treasury management.
New CEO
The announcement also comes alongside a leadership transition that puts co-founder Himelda Renuat at the helm.
Renuat, who previously served as DOKU’s chief marketing officer, has been appointed chief executive officer of DOKU and head of Antom Indonesia, effective immediately. She will lead DOKU’s next phase of growth while overseeing Antom’s business in Indonesia.
Chris Yeo, who has led DOKU as CEO since 2022, is stepping down from the role to become head of Antom Philippines. DOKU said Yeo helped strengthen its organisational and operational structure, grow transaction volumes and build its partnership with Ant International.
“DOKU was built on almost 20 years of trust with our merchants, and that foundation isn’t changing. What’s changing is our reach,” Renuat said. “With Antom and 2C2P supporting us, we can serve the merchants who trust us today even better, go deeper into the industries that need us most, and help more Indonesian businesses take their first step across borders,” she added.
Under the expanded partnership, DOKU’s local payment methods, merchant relationships and regulatory capabilities will be connected more closely with Antom’s global merchant acquiring platform and Ant International’s broader product ecosystem, including the Alipay+ unified wallet gateway.
DOKU and 2C2P will also work together on payment solutions for Indonesian merchants expanding across Southeast Asia and international merchants entering Indonesia. The companies are further looking to expand financial services, including multi-currency solutions and cross-border payment processing, while exploring lending and treasury management tools for merchants.
“This is a natural next step in the partnership we announced earlier this year, not a departure from it,” Gary Liu, CEO of Antom and senior vice president of Ant International, said.
“DOKU’s local expertise, paired with Antom’s global platform and 2C2P’s regional reach, positions us to deliver real value to businesses across Indonesia and Southeast Asia,” Liu added.
For 2027, DOKU plans to deepen relationships with existing merchants, expand into new industries and payment channels, and help more Indonesian businesses transact across borders.
The company said it will continue investing in product reliability, developer-first integration and round the-clock merchant support as it scales alongside Antom and 2C2P.
DOKU, established in 2007, currently serves more than 300,000 merchants in Indonesia, including TikTok, Google, Garuda Indonesia, Prudential and Trip.com. The company holds six Bank Indonesia payment licences covering payment gateway, fund transfers, e-money, e-wallets, QR code payments and PNBP collection.
