Abu Dhabi-based investment firm BlueFive Capital has invested in Indonesian asset manager PT Majoris Asset Management as it enters Southeast Asia through its Sharia-compliant investment platform, BlueFive786.
Majoris will be rebranded as BlueFiveMajoris following the transaction, subject to approval from Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Majoris serves more than 700,000 retail customers and 50 institutional clients, with a focus on money market and fixed-income products.
The partnership will combine Majoris’ local asset management and distribution capabilities with BlueFive’s international investor network and Sharia-compliant investment products.
“We are pleased to partner with Majoris to position it as a key player in bridging the large Indonesian market with our international investor network and Sharia-compliant investment solutions,” Hazem Ben-Gacem, founder and CEO of BlueFive Capital, said in a statement.
He said Indonesia is a strategic market for BlueFive given its scale, domestic investor base and demand for products that comply with Sharia principles.
Arsjad Rasjid, founder of Majoris Asset Management, said the partnership would combine the asset manager’s local knowledge with BlueFive’s international network.
“For us, this is about creating better access to high-quality Sharia-compliant investment opportunities for Indonesian investors,” Rasjid said.
Sharia-compliant investment products account for about 10% of Indonesia’s asset management market, according to BlueFive.
The investment also follows an earlier tie-up between BlueFive and Indonesian investment firm Sriwijaya Capital, which is founded and chaired by Rasjid. In October 2025, Sriwijaya Capital partnered with Danantara and BlueFive to pursue cross-border investment opportunities.
The Majoris investment, however, was announced separately, and there is no indication that it was made through the earlier Sriwijaya-Danantara partnership.
Established in 2015, Majoris is an OJK-licensed investment manager offering mutual funds, discretionary investment management and other investment products. Its mutual fund assets under management stood at 3.9 trillion rupiah ($218 million) as of August 2026.
