Creador, the South and Southeast Asia-focused private equity firm, has acquired a 7% stake in India’s La Renon Healthcare from the promoter and existing investor Peak XV Partners, according to an announcement on Monday.

The promoter family, led by Pankaj Singh, continues to retain a controlling stake in the company. The deal size was undisclosed.

Founded in 2007, La Renon is among the country’s leading players in the branded formulations market, with a strong presence in nephrology, neurology, and other chronic-care segments.

The Ahmedabad-based company has delivered a 25% revenue CAGR and a 30% EBITDA CAGR over the past decade. In FY25, it reported a revenue of Rs 1,685 crore and EBITDA of Rs 356 crore, and is poised to sustain its strong growth momentum going forward.

“Creador’s investment marks a major milestone in the company’s rapid growth journey. With Creador’s partnership, we aim to continue our accelerated growth path as we shape the next phase of La Renon’s journey towards the top 10 position,” said Pankaj Singh, Founder and Managing Director of La Renon.

Peak XV has been invested in La Renon since 2015, while A91 joined in 2021 and ChrysCapital in 2024. La Renon onboarded other marquee investors namely Avendus, WhiteOak, and Sigular Guff this year.

This investment underscores Creador’s conviction in the long-term growth potential of India’s healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors.

DealStreetAsia had earlier this year reported that the Malaysia-based private equity firm Creador had closed its sixth fund at $930 million, exceeding a $750-million target.

Some LPs that invested in the vehicle include Canadian development finance institution FinDev, International Finance Corporation, and Asian Development Bank.
