Agilitas, a sportswear startup in India, has secured Rs 225 crore (about $23.5 million) in fresh funding as it looks to expand its operations.
The round saw participation from Rainmatter and existing investor Nexus Venture Partners.
While Nexus led the round with a Rs 200 crore investment, Rainmatter contributed Rs 25 crore.
Agilitas plans to use the funding to expand its manufacturing, brand building, retail expansion, and technology capabilities, it said in a statement.
Earlier this week, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma picked up a minority stake in the startup for an undisclosed amount as a strategic investor. As part of the investment, Sharma is set to co-create One8 Yoga, a yoga-focused activewear line under the One8 brand.
Established in 2023 by Abhishek Ganguly, former MD of Puma India, along with former Puma executives Atul Bajaj and Amit Prabhu, Agilitas operates across the entire value chain – from manufacturing to retail – while building and scaling aspirational brands.
Nexus had earlier invested Rs 100 crore in the startup in December 2023, alongside a Rs 400 crore round from PE firm Convergent Finance and others.
