BDA Partners, a global investment banking adviser founded in New York and Singapore, has hired Saurabh Gupta from Mizuho as managing director and head of its Singapore office, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters.
Gupta will start on October 12 and will also lead BDA‘s healthcare and consumer business in Southeast Asia, the memo said.
He joins from Mizuho, where he led its consumer, retail and healthcare coverage in Asia. Gupta has 20 years of experience advising on mergers and acquisitions and fundraising at HSBC, Merrill Lynch, Maybank and Mizuho.
BDA said Gupta would help expand its healthcare and consumer advisory work across Asia and strengthen its Singapore leadership and relationships with private equity firms.
BDA did not immediately respond to a request seeking comment.
