Malaysian government-backed impact investment firm VentureTECH Sdn. Bhd. has invested RM28 million ($6.8 million) in three Bumiputera-led high-growth, high-value (HGHV) companies operating across industrial automation, healthcare technology and digital accessibility.
The investments were made in Move Robotic Sdn. Bhd., Recove Group Sdn. Bhd. and Edote Sdn. Bhd., VentureTECH said in a statement.
The deals are part of VentureTECH’s strategy to back technology-driven Bumiputera companies targeting strategic industries, with the potential to scale their businesses regionally and globally.
VentureTECH chief executive officer Azizan Jaafar said, “Our role extends beyond providing capital. We work alongside our investee companies throughout their growth journey, helping them strengthen their capabilities, unlock new market opportunities and scale sustainably. Through these investments, we are not only supporting promising businesses but also contributing to Malaysia’s long-term economic resilience and the aspirations of the Bumiputera Economic Transformation Plan 2035,” he added.
Move Robotic provides warehouse and logistics automation solutions integrating Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), autonomous material-handling solutions, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and pallet shuttle systems with its proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Robot Fleet Manager (RFM).
Recove, meanwhile, operates a Med-Tech commercialisation platform focused on transforming research-driven healthcare innovations into market-ready medical technologies.
Edote focuses on improving digital accessibility for the visually impaired community. The company has developed eBrelle, the first standalone Braille laptop in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, which enables visually impaired users to independently access, create and interact with digital content.
VentureTECH said the investments are aimed at strengthening Malaysia’s innovation ecosystem and supporting Bumiputera companies with the ambition and capability to compete at regional and global levels.
VentureTECH is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT).
