SoftBank China Capital (SBCVC)-backed internet security firm River Security has closed 130 million yuan ($18 million) in its Series C+ round from undisclosed investors, the company announced on WeChat.
SBCVC and tech-driven iStart Venture Capital had together injected capital in River Security’s Series A and angel rounds in 2016 and 2015, respectively.
It will invest the proceeds for the integration of AI and dynamic security, R&D, marketing network enhancement and partnership consolidation.
Headquartered in Shanghai, it has set up offices in Beijing, Shenzhen and Chengdu.
Fidelity International’s Eight Roads also made an equity investment in River Security in 2019. During the same year, Legend Capital had exclusively infused 100 million yuan ($14 million) in River Security.
