Colossa leads funding in CENTA
Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) has secured nearly $2.3 million (Rs 20 crore) in its Series A1 funding round led by Colossa Ventures, it announced on Tuesday.
The funding also saw participation from existing investor Discovery Assets and angel investors, the startup said in a statement.
The fresh funds will enable CENTA to expand its operations across India and key international markets, while also strengthening its technology infrastructure.
Founded by Ramya Venkatraman, CENTA seeks to empower teachers through certification, upskilling, and its teacher-as-a-service model, which connects educators with full-time and part-time job opportunities. The platform currently claims to be supporting a community of 1.7 million teachers from over 100,000 schools.
CENTA also claims to have active engagement from educators in over 100 countries, with strong participation from the UAE, Nigeria, Philippines, Bangladesh, and Ghana, alongside emerging partnerships in the UK and the US.
Cura Care raises funding led by Zeropearl
Cura Care, a home wellness services brand, has raised about $583,430 (Rs 5 crore) in its pre-seed funding round led by Zeropearl VC. The round also saw participation from friends, family, and notable angel investors, including Shripad Nadkarni and the late Rohan Mirchandani, the startup said in a statement.
The company intends to use the funds to validate its product-market fit and strengthen its value proposition by delivering at-home wellness experiences. It also aims to develop a scalable expansion strategy to drive long-term growth in India’s $60-billion wellness market, the statement added.
Founded in January 2025 by IIT Delhi alumni Abhinav Kumar and Chinmay Mittal, along with oral surgeon Dr. Paminder Singh, Cura Care offers at-home services like teeth cleaning, scaling, polishing, and whitening, delivered by DCI-certified dentists using portable dental units.
Since its launch, Cura Care claims to have already served over 1,000 customers through at-home visits and oral wellness camps.
