Leyan Technologies, an AI-driven SaaS specialist for e-commerce, on Monday, announced the completion of an undisclosed Series C3 funding round led by Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba.
With this, the total Series C round raised by Leyan comes to over 500 million yuan ($77 million), the investee said in a statement.
Previously in 2020, Leyan had closed an aggregate of 300 million yuan ($41 million) in its earlier two tranches from Alibaba Jack Ma’s YF Capital, Eastern Bell Capital, Blue Lake Capital, ZWC Partners, Sky9 Capital, among others.
Launched in 2016 in Shanghai, Leyan develops intelligent customer service applications through natural language processing and machine learning.
Its customer service-based SaaS products are widely used in the e-commerce industry.
Leyan’s early-stage backers also include Ivy Capital, Chuxin Capital, Ameba Capital, Yuema Capital, and YiMei Capital.
