Global alternative asset manager ICG has appointed Sujey Subramanian to lead its Asia-Pacific corporate investment strategy, effective 1 May. Based in Singapore, Subramanian will expand ICG’s presence in the region, driving growth of its flexible capital strategy.

Subramanian is joining ICG from PAG, where he spent about 13 years and most recently served as deputy CIO and head of Southeast Asia for the firm’s flagship private equity strategy. NashTech was one of the recent deals that Subramanian worked on at PAG.

As a key member on PAG’s investment committee, Subramanian also contributed to PAG’s overall investment strategy, portfolio construction and team development.

ICG’s Asia-Pacific corporate team is currently deploying its fourth vintage fund, with professionals located in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, and Sydney. The team targets locally sourced, directly originated, and privately negotiated investments in subordinated debt and equity. Recent successful exits include Yudo China Holdings (2.6x MM*), PSB Academy (2.9x MM), and SCF Containers (2.0x MM). [MM= money multiple]
