Advent International has appointed Xiaoni Shi as managing director and head of investor relations for Asia Pacific, while ICG has named Luke Schlafly as global head of insurance within its Client Solutions Group.
Advent appoints head of investor relations for APAC
Advent International, a global private equity investor, has announced that it is strengthening its presence in Hong Kong by expanding its Asia-Pacific Investor Relations team.
This team will be led by Xiaoni Shi, Managing Director and Head of Investor Relations for Asia Pacific, who will oversee regional fundraising and investor relations efforts out of Hong Kong.
Advent has been active in Greater China since 1993 and has invested over $1.8 billion in the region. More broadly, including in its flagship and follow-on funds, Advent has invested more than $7.8 billion across Asia Pacific, reflecting the depth and longevity of its engagement in the region.
The firm’s Greater China investment team will continue to operate under the leadership of Andrew Li, Managing Director and Head of Greater China, maintaining continuity in Advent’s on-the-ground investment capabilities.
Asia Pacific remains a strategic priority for Advent. The firm has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Mumbai, Tokyo, and Sydney, with nearly 40 investment professionals across the region.
Advent oversees more than $100 billion in assets under management and has made 448 investments across 44 countries.
ICG appoints global head of insurance
UK-based alternative asset manager ICG has announced the appointment of Luke Schlafly as Global Head of Insurance within its Client Solutions Group.
Luke will report to Alan Isenberg, Global Head of CSG, with a mandate to strengthen ICG’s global insurance relationships and develop solutions for the sector’s evolving needs.
Luke joins ICG with more than 16 years of experience in global asset management and extensive expertise in serving insurance companies.
He most recently served as Managing Director and Global Head of Insurance Investment Solutions at PineBridge Investments, where he led the firm’s global insurance business and delivered strategic solutions to a broad spectrum of clients within this segment.
Prior to PineBridge Investments, Luke held senior roles at Deutsche Asset Management, where he focused on investment strategies for insurance clients across the US and Canada.
Luke’s appointment underscores ICG’s continued commitment to consolidating its global client coverage and deepening expertise within CSG, reflecting the firm’s expanding and increasingly diversified suite of strategies.
ICG manages $127 billion in AUM as of December 31, 2025.
