Healthcare private equity firm TVM Capital Healthcare has invested in German healthcare firm neurocare, while Saison Investment Management has backed the Philippines-based BillEase.

TVM Capital Healthcare invests $17m in neurocare

TVM Capital Healthcare has announced a $17-million investment in neurocare group AG (neurocare), a Munich-headquartered innovator in personalised mental healthcare.

TVM Capital Healthcare’s investment will enable neurocare to execute its international growth plans, including expansion in the US and market entry into Saudi Arabia, as well as support the development of new hardware and software innovations.

It is the ninth investment by TVM Capital Healthcare to improve local access to quality healthcare in the MENA region.

A special objective of the firm is improving the healthcare infrastructure in Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA Region,” said Tristan de Boysson, Managing Partner, TVM Capital Healthcare.

BillEase raises $5m from Saison Investment Management

BillEase, a consumer finance and buy now pay later app in the Philippines, has announced an investment of $5 million from Saison Investment Management Private Limited (SIMPL), the offshore lending arm of Saison International Pte. Ltd.

Saison International is the international headquarters of Japan’s Credit Saison, one of Japan’s largest lending conglomerates.

This latest funding round expands BillEase’s existing Helicap-led credit facility from $20 million to $40 million which includes participation from various investors such as the Helicap Income Opportunities Fund, several institutional credit investors, and high-net-worth individuals.

In 2022, BillEase banked a $20-million debt facility from Singapore debt investment firm Helicap Securities.

BillEase, which offers personal loans, e-wallet top-ups, prepaid load, gaming credits, bills payment, and buy now, pay later (BNPL) solutions, achieved profitability in 2023, according to an announcement.
