With the funding winter stretching well beyond expectations, risk capital investors approached young businesses with some trepidation this year. Early-stage funding for Indian startups, comprising seed to Series A stages, dropped 18% to $1.52 billion in Jan-Sept 2024 from $1.85 billion in the comparable period last year. Their volume, however, increased to 477 from 446 over the same period, revealed proprietary data compiled by DealStreetAsia.
