Although the COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging, the region has remained largely resilient. Recently, Morgan Stanley raised its Southeast Asia gross domestic product (GDP) projection to 5.6% in 2022, up from 5.4% before, with the regional bloc outpacing the overall Asia forecast of 5.4%.
